What’s in my Hospital Bag

I have been all over Pinterest trying to see what is needed to bring to the hospital and let me tell you there are about a million and one of these things each different in some way. I decided to just stuff my bag with stuff I think I will need and I will post an update of what was actually used and what wasn’t.IMG_0483

For Momma:

  • Yoga Pants (to come home in comfort and I feel more put together in yoga pants than sweat/pj pants)
  • Nursing bra
  • Pj set (I bought mine from Target and its shorts and a long sleeve and the shirt I will be wearing home)
  • Underwear you don’t care that gets ruined, no matter what there will be leakage
  • Breast pads
  • Nipple cream
  • Make up wipes
  • Tissues ( I forever have Hay Fever)
  • Toothbrush/toothpaste
  • Makeup, well maybe just mascara
  • Chapstick
  • Pillow
  • Reusable cup or bottle full of ice water

For Baby:

  • Coming home outfits in newborn and 0-3 months
  • Diapers in newborn and size 1
  • Nail clippers
  • Bath stuff ( This is probably not needed but I threw in the travel size anyways)
  • Blanket
  • Receiving/swaddled blankets
  • Socks
  • Hats
  • No-scratch mittens ( One of the coming home outfits actually has fold over sleeves so it won’t need mittens)
  • Extra onesies, they’re messy little things
  • Toy (Optional but I love this rattle she got and it’s so fluffy!)

For Papa:

  • Tablet for some entertainment if he has down time
  • Chargers for everything for both of you
  • Pillow
  • Blanket
  • Sweatpants
  • Extra memory cards ( if you allow him to take pictures)
  • Snacks and gum (Emphasis on snacks for Alex he is always hungry)
  • Reusable cup or bottle for water or in Alex’s case sweet tea
